Many different types of peppers have been known to help those that suffer from all sorts of health issues. Asthma suffers that consume hot peppers can reduce symptoms and decrease the severity of their attacks. Our Jalapeño peppers fall into that category of healing peppers. The chemical inside our Jalapeño peppers is called Capsaicin and it is where our peppers get their degree of heat from. This degree of heat is scientifically measured in Scoville Units. The chemical known as Capsaicin has many known benefits. Capsaicin can benefit us by opening up our blood vessels, stimulating nerve endings, and helping to keep our airways open. Next time you start to get a stuffy nose eat a few Jalapenos. It will help unclog your nasal passages. Jalapeños also contain carotenoids, which protect cells against oxidation and may break down cancer-causing chemicals. Capsaicin has been used to treat chronic pain and arthritis. It has the ability to block a protein in the body that serves as a neurotransmitter of pain from traveling to the brain.
Our Jalapeños are also in a list of Alkalizing foods. Our bodies need to stay neutral or a bit in the Alkaline state to help increase body’s ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, increase the energy production in the cells, increase it’s ability to repair damaged cells,
increase it’s ability to detoxify heavy metals, make tumor cells lay dormant, and make us less fatigue and fewer illnesses.
